Former getaway driver Charlie Bronson jeopardizes his Witness Protection Plan identity in order to help his girlfriend get to Los Angeles. The feds and Charlie’s former gang chase them on the road.

A couple of classic American companies — Louisville Slugger and PRO-Keds — have teamed up to present an interesting sneaker here with this Royal Hi. With the National Pastime, baseball, in full swing this season, the timing is perfect for these shoes. Drawing inspiration from the sport, the upper of the shoe is comprised out of baseball glove leather and contains details such as rawhide leather laces, a cork footbed, baseball cross-stitching, and an embossed Louisville Slugger logo. The shoes will come in a special co-branded package and a mini baseball bat keychain.

IKEA are the masters of flatpack furniture, providing all things good for setting up a home’s furnishing. Now they’ve branched off into the gadgety side of things. For next month, IKEA are to launch their own Uppleva HDTV. It’ll be available in sizes ranging from 24 to 46 inches and will be priced around the $960 price range — most likely scale relative to the display size. The TV will be loaded with a built-in Blu-ray player and a wireless subwoofer, and is being assembled by TLC, a manufacturer in China. Plus a handful of applications will be included like Dailymotion, Vimeo and YouTube, along with games, music playback and video-on-demand apps, and the Opera for TV web browser — all based on the region. The Uppleva’s expected to roll out in Europe next month, followed by the US in 2013.

When you think of Vans, the Slip-On is among the first sneakers that comes to mind. Made iconic by the California brand over the last decades (it first released in 1966), they bring the most OG colors of the sneaker back this season as part of the Vans Vault line.

For Spring/Summer 2012 the Slip-On comes in 4 canvas colors – solid navy, black and white, as well as white/black checker. Look out for these at Vans Vault retailers from June 2012.

Style applies to everything, in the way we perceive things, how we design and particularly how we dress. Samuel Ashley has taken the simple idea of taking photos of skateboarders, capturing their own personal style and put them up on the newly launched site The Skartorialist — it being a more street orientated version of Scott Schuman’s iconic The Sartorialist series that we’re fans of too. Samuel’s already snapped in locations like Copenhagen, Malmo, London and Berlin, but expect more updated goodness to appear on the site real soon.

After previously showing you the upcoming colorways of the Nike Air Safari Vintage, we now preview the first colors of the Air Max 1 to come next season.

Next to a nice tonal dynamic blue version and a summit white/shaded blue version, a nice white/off white play is also offered. The sneaker will be coming to stores in the coming weeks as part of the Nike Fall 2012 Collection. Look out at select Nike retailers, as well as Overkill.
